La Jolla Real Estate in La Jolla Heights
La Jolla Heights is a quiet and secluded neighborhood with its own identity and character. Located on the north-east side of La Jolla within walking distance to UCSD, easy access to freeways, beaches and world-class shopping.
Touring through the neighborhood of La Jolla Heights through the eyes and personal experience of Team SchuCo, we have lots of pictures to share, enjoy! As we head up La Jolla Village Drive the sun above seeps through the clouds, what I like to call "overcast" or "coastal eddy". Not all days are sunny in California, but with the temperature at about 75 and the cool breeze raising the hair on my arms I'm not complaining. Its actually quite nice and we love days like this for cruising in our convertible. If you have ever found yourself wondering why people drive around with their convertible tops up on a sunny day its because its too hot!!
The clouds in the sky put a bit of a damper on my trip to get clear, brilliant pictures of this neighborhood. So, do me a favor and use your imagination a little if you can. Pretend the sun is shining so bright that you need stunner shades and the sky is baby blue with not one cloud in the sky. Thanks!
Our first turn, a left at La Jolla Scenic Drive North and the planned residential development of La Jolla Shores Heights can be found to the left. Built in 1972 this neighborhood is small containing 128 town homes and a private atmosphere. As you wind your way down the side of the hill you will see the grand and beautiful San Diego California Temple out yonder.
The entrance on the left features the multi-use tennis and basketball courts with a playground nestled directly behind it. Make your first right and we spot our first town home up for sale.
If you are looking to buy in this area contact us now and we will arrange your personal tour. The neighborhood is comprised of several cul-de-sacs with abundant greenery that is well kept. Tall eucalyptus and pine trees provide plenty of shade and the serene atmosphere is enjoyable. We stopped to talk to a local contractor doing some work in the neighborhood, friendly and approachable. Happy to see homeowners spending money and upgrading again. We are huge supporters of our local small businesses! If you are looking for custom carpentry go check out Nicholas & Associates Flickr page where he features his custom woodworking and contact them for a consultation!
As we head back out onto the main crossroad, La Jolla Scenic Drive North, the right side of the street is lined with originally built 1960s single story homes with spacious lots. Shortly there after we see an open house sign calling out our names to stop in and see what has been newly listed to the market. We veer a left onto Sugarman Drive, passing single family residences and new construction. Looks like this homeowner is doing a major upgrade!
Do you notice the telephone wires above ground?? I found that particularly interesting...throughout our tour today we saw a few neighborhoods that have yet to upgrade to underground wiring.
Ending at the private sanctuary of 8332 Sugarman Dr. We see huge opportunity for the right family looking to grow roots in this community. Competitively priced entertaining offers in the range of $1,149,900-1,249,000 this desirable real estate could be all yours! Hire Team SchuCo today to help negotiate the purchase of your dream home on Sugarman Drive.
Moving on....we cruise the community some more to find Torrey Pines Christian Church and the local La Jolla YMCA where the sounds of children playing in summer camp echo through the air. We pass through La Jolla Woods, 59 residences built in 1974. Stopping to take a pictures of this breathtaking view of the hills and terrain that make up La Jolla. La Jolla Woods, large detached 3 to 4 bedroom homes start around $1,100,000 and up.
