House Hunting 101 | Open Houses All Weekend
For those of you looking to get a home before the end of the year...your weekends may be spent following the La Jolla Light and Open House signs throughout town. Most home shoppers start this way to get a feel for the market...or they are looking at high res photos on Zillow and honing in on their likes and dislikes.
We are hosting this home Open in La Jolla Soledad:
Friday & Sunday
Today (11/6) - 1p-4p
Sunday (11/8) - 9-noon
Today we are providing a basic outline to what the home shopping process looks like. If you are serious buyer that wants to be in your new home before the holidays then now is the time to HIRE Team SchuCo.
We can show homes anytime...not just during weekend hours 1-4 at an Open House. Holidays are getting closer and if you would like to spend those days shopping for a home then let's go, get your home tour scheduled! We are working through the holidays...because we are a little obsessed and take pride in our business.
The last 3 months of the year is exciting and real estate really gets good because home sellers are looking to SELL! Home sellers that are just waiting for an offer so they can move on to the New Year. Sometimes its just a matter of submitting an offer...we like to call it a "ticket" to the game.

If you are the house hunter hitting open houses here is a little 411:
- The real estate agent hosting the open house is more than likely NOT the listing agent - so be kind, we are there to assist in finding a buyer, we are there to earn your business.
- If you go to an open house and you are already represented by a Realtor then tell the host, seriously...and if you have questions...ask your Realtor (which by the way...why aren't they there with you?! I'm Just CURIOUS)
- Sometimes the host is the listing agent...I have seen a lot of dual agencies lately (called double ending in our business) and I'm not opposed to it...however, you have to consider is the listing agent truly looking out for the best interest of the seller and the buyer or their bottom line..aka their pockets. Dual agency can be accomplished and everyone is happy but just beware...the listing agent was initially hired to represent the seller's best interest.
