With Valentine's Day right around the corner I found it the perfect opportunity to connect you with this cupcake boutique that has tons to offer for a fun, inexpensive, health conscious date idea.

Using organic and local fresh quality ingredients some of the cupcake recipes include gluten free, vegan, dairy free, and low glycemic index.

Don't like cupcakes? No problem...they also offer espresso drinks, cupcake-infused ice cream, shakes, cookies and scones.

Kind of hard to say 'no' to that! I can't lie these heart shaped cookies caught my eye and I was tempted to indulge.

Our customer service experience was superb, thank you Nina and Nino for your time. Shout out to Keon for helpful suggestions and good customer service. We will definitely be back to visit soon! Whether you are a local or visiting San Diego Cups Lounge is a must visit.

My personal favorite part of the experience is the option in size of cupcake. They have small portion sized (perfect to share if you want to try more than one flavor) or the regular sized cupcake, for those of you who don't have a problem picking what you like.

For me having so many choices that sound so delicious its hard to walk away with just one cupcake...but 'A moment on the lips and lifetime on the hips'...sometimes you just have to indulge., bite-size perfection without feeling guilty.

We went with three flavors based on personal preference and one "favorite" of the house. Can  you guess the flavors by the picture of cupcake heaven??

First up is Marc's personal choice the 'Vanilla Vixen', doesn't it look scrumptious!?!

This sweet vanilla based cup is topped with a creamy vanilla bean french butter cream and vanilla tuile. Moist and fluffy the vanilla bean bursts with flavor, simple and classic this vanilla vixen has a favorite creamy frosting that makes it a must do again.

Second, we have my personal choice the PB Cup *Dairy Free* cupcake. Rich chocolate cake base with a creamy peanut butter frosting dipped in a chocolate shell. Most definitely my favorite of all 3 flavors tested, a crowd pleasing mix of flavors that is sure to suppress any chocolate or sweet tooth craving. I didn't even know it was diary free it tasted rich and creamy.

Lastly was the "recommended" Brulee J cupcake, vanilla cake base filled with a sweet custard and topped with caramelized sugar and a fresh raspberry. Replicating the taste of the famous Creme Brulee dessert the rich custard filling makes this cupcake the runner up for me.

With 85 flavors featured on their catering menu they help make the choices simple by featuring a different menu each day with at least 12 flavors baked fresh daily, including one vegan, one low glycemic and three gluten-free daily.

Stop in to your Local Cups Lounge in La Jolla soon. Be on the lookout for Team SchuCo passing out Free Valentine's Day Cards early February and share your comments or stories below!
